LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Might Dinosaurs

So... there's no pictures this time...

I've been in the process of "upgrading" my filming set so I didn't have the grey box in hand when I finished up each of the builds. I'm still not happy with the noise on the video. The new lighting helps occasionally but I think I will need a higher quality camera to get the crispy images I'm looking for. I The new wood grain background looks kind different from other videos I seen and I do appreciate that. I'll keep in mind if I get feed back to switch back but this new set-up not only looks a different in comparison  to all the "white voids", it also gives me flexibility for larger kits.

LEGO Star Wars Clone Scout Walker

I've started to upgrade the filming space. Have a new birch table, new turntable, two new soft boxes and a new tripod solution. These changes were all driven by the fact that I was unable to fit the Walker into frame comfortably. I also had to abort a video on a gundam plastic model kit (gunpla) do to this issue as well. I've also been unhappy with the noise level on these videos (lots of film grain), so maybe these upgrades will also go some way to resolving that issue. Doubtful but we'll see.

On the kit; I feel pretty nostalgic when building this. I had the original 2005 version growing up and absolutely loved it. I'm a little sad the walker can't really even pretend to pose anymore and that the clone trooper molds have changed in my 11 years away. However the new kits quality is astounding. The overall mini-fig and build technique quality of every kit I've built so far is leaps and bounds ahead of what I was used to back in the mid-thousands. The new stud guns are also interesting...

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship

My first "new" LEGO Star Wars kit. I remember when the original version of this kit came out and I have to say I'm so much more impressed with the quality of mini-figs today! I especially love the Shadow Trooper. The drop-ship is pretty boring but it is essentially a vehicle (HA-HA!) for the four mini-fig battle pack so who really cares?

On the video: I sat down with my girlfriend found some more music so I won't have to just repeat the same audio clips. The bag spin-around has also been removed from the intro in a bid to shorten the length of my videos. However it feels as though the video is now *too* fast... If you agree let me know!

LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40

The last of my Speed Champions kits. I noticed a lot of people who watched my videos tended to click off once my intro cuts were done, so for this video I kept that bit short. I placed all the completed model spin arounds at the end of the video. We'll see if that helps. If not I think I'll have to dramatically cut the length of my videos down. (I don't mean to make long videos, I'm just a really slow builder. At my last calculations I think I take twice as long some of the other people on YouTube...)

LEGO Speed Champions Ford Mustang Fastback

Ordered another batch of LEGO kits. Here's the first kit of that batch...

I was immediately turned off of this version of the Mustang when I originally saw its promo pictures. I can't say time hasn't made me fonder. The main problem for me is the car's front grill. It just feels empty and very widely spaced. In contrast I love my copy of the big Creator Expert Mustang! The speed champions scale is probably just not a great size for the Mustang...

The Out-of-Order Triolgy - Part 3 of 3: LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Senna

Final video in this series and final kit overall from my initial Speed Champions pool. I was really looking forward to making this but unfortunately I think the final model is underwhelming. It's a bit plain (even with all that orange) and the mini-fig is also pretty boring. Oh well! I still had fun making the kit and editing the video together!
