LEGO Hidden Side iOS app as VIP Reward?

I tried checking to see if either BrickSet or BrickFan had reported on this but it looks like they haven't. There's actually been few times I've seen new rewards go live for VIP that haven't been reported for a few days. I've noticed an all around lack of announcements on TLG's part on announcing new rewards for the updated VIP program. Very interesting...

The VIP page shows the following rewards in the VIP Exclusive Rewards section:

Seems weird? As far as I knew Hidden Side was already available for free on iOS. Why would I need to pay 200 Points to download it. I pulled up the app on my phone and safe to say it still works (and is appropriately Halloween themed right now!).

Clicking on the "Redeem Reward button this page:

Ah, makes sense. TLG wants to get feedback. Don't know why it's buried in the VIP section of the LEGO website. Or why they'd only want that specific subset's opinions but whatever.

I then read a bunch of the questions and they all referred to a "Playgrounds AR" app and kit 70655 "Dragon Pit":

The questions also referred to downloading the app for your child and demographic questions based on that...

So...the subterfuge now makes sense. Seems like TLG is looking for casual feedback from parents, not from super-fans. The survey also said I would be refunded the 200 points spent used to redeemed the free Hidden Side app as well as a bonus 25 points for taking the survey. Oops...

Anyway, here's a quick post on a weird reward I came across. It's just interesting to me that VIP rewards keep being rolled out for program but there don't seem to be sites reporting on these updates.
